UCMS Group Russia and HeadHunter job portal conducted an online survey of Russian BPO market. The survey was carried out among 404 respondents in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg during December 2013.  The study was directed towards C-level executives who were involved in decision making process on HR, Payroll and Accounting outsourcing services. Most respondents are representatives of local businesses (83%), 10% of surveyees are foreign companies in Russia and 7% — joint ventures.
According to the survey, about 30% of companies are now using outsourcing services or planning to increase the volume of outsourcing services in the short run. About 10% of companies indicate that they are not using outsourcing currently but are about to try the services at an early date.
The respondents indicated that the top drivers behind outsourcing are: avoiding knowledge walking out the door (45%), freeing up internal resources (43%) and cost savings (43%).
“Outsourcing services are of interest to almost 40% of companies operating in Russia”, — says Alexander Galin, Head of Marketing at UCMS Group Russia. — “The report showed that the basic factors for successful outsourcing projects are selection of a competent provider and detailed regulation of conditions when building the partnership. However, the respondents indicated that the key stoppers for BPO market growth are still the fear of leakage of confidential information and apprehensiveness of senior executives to give the green light to a BPO solution”.
